Blogs, Boogey Men, and Babies! Oh My!

I'm not sure what to write in this blog, should I make it theme based, or just write whatever comes to my little brain. I think that is probably the most common result of a blog, but who in the banana trees of Brazil cares about my random thoughts. I suppose my brain is so odd and so very few people ever get to see what's in it, I suppose it could quench their curiosity, and hopefully provide a good laugh, or at least a smile.

I don't what it is, perhaps AOL's offering to listen to the soundtrack for a most amazing movie for free this entire week, but I have been enthralled by Danny Elfman's masterpiece of the Nightmare before Christmas. I can't stop singing it, and I can't wait to see the 3-D movie!

Oh, by the way, I don't know how many people are aware that our family is about to be increased by one member, come the beginning of March! A little GIRL! We're so excited and are working on names that will work with Sherrie as a middle name. Any ideas are very welcome

All right. So, baby names. After giving it about 5 minutes of semi-intense thought (and browsing of a baby name website), I arrived at the following 4 names, which you may or may not think work with both the chosen middle and set-in-stone last name:

Alison
Samantha
Grace
Megan

If you want my totally unsolicited opinion, I think you should steer clear of first names ending with the "ee" sound...it would clash with Sherrie.

As you think of names, think of what the initials will signify. For instance, with Sherrie as a middle name, you are off to a great start. If the first name begins with a 'Y', you will have YSA (Young Single Adult). A 'B' will give you BSA (Boy Scouts of America), I personally don't recommend a 'B' name. If you are particularly patriotic, you will name your daughter Ursula because that will give her the initial USA. With a name like Ursula, she can have The Little Mermaid birthday parties 'til she is at least ten, since the evil octomaid witch in the movie is named Ursula.

Though on an honest note, I would suggest Catherine. I think might fit nicely.

Wow, I've never picked baby names before, but I did give a lot of people english names in Taiwan, so let me so what I've got. ..... OK, after much thought and, like Lindsay, consulting a baby name website, I believe that you should name your daughter Jennifer. Of course, this is just my opinion, and you are the ones who will be calling her name every day for the next while, so don't take my opinion. (That is, unless you really do like it.)
