Biggest Loser!

Well, I joined a biggest loser competition with some friends in our ward and we each pitched in $10 for the person who would lose the greatest percentage of body weight by the end of 12 weeks.  I held first place for a few weeks, but haven't been able to pull out of second place for the last couple of weeks.  Here's the progress I've made so far:

I averaged losing 1.17 lbs. per week.  I feel pretty good about myself and am excited to switch back to eating a normal lunch (instead of a slim-fast or special K meal bar, though I do like the idea of quick meals.)   I plan to keep up my exercise routine (3-5 times to the gym), but maybe focus a little more on muscle building/toning than fat burning.

That's awesome, Lee. How big's the group? What gym do you go to?

there were 15 total, so the prize is $150!! Whoever's code named "Miss Piggy" was in first place last Monday, we'll find out who the ultimate winner was probably first thing tomorrow morning. I signed up with planet fitness. $10 a month for a pretty nice facility.

I think I ended up taking 2nd. Miss Piggy lost over 10% over body weight, and I only lost about 7.5%, but it was definitely worth it. Now I've gotta figure out how to eat normally again. I'm averaging around 1500 calories a day, which doesn't seem too healthy. I don't need to keep losing, just maintain where I'm at. If I exercise more, I'll probably build up more of an appetite.
